What Are Wisdom Teeth Really Called?

​Did you know that "wisdom tooth" is just a nickname for a set of teeth that most of us will likely have to get extracted if they start to erupt and affect other surrounding teeth. Plus you may experience any one of the symptoms as they grow in such as pain/swollen gums or glands, ear aches, difficulty opening your mouth and bad breath or taste. 3rd Molars

In dentistry wisdom teeth are referred to as third molars since they are the 3rd molar back from the front of your face and is also the 3rd molar to erupt (or that should erupt).

Can You Guess All The Dental Tools Your Dentist Uses During An Exam & Cleaning?

​Patients can feel nervous and terrified when sitting in a dentist's chair about to get their teeth examined. Especially when the dental assistant sets the silver tray with all the dental tools to be used. Some tools are more familiar than others but we are here to set your mind at ease. ​Before the tooth fairy comes to collect your fallen tooth while you sleep, be sure to impress her with these easy tips. It can be confusing to understand why our baby teeth have to fall out to make room for our adult teeth as we grow up but we're here to help. Parents should encourage their children to brush and floss their teeth regularly to keep their teeth healthy and impress the tooth fairy.
